Advertising
Restricted advertising
Cannabis advertising is restricted to media with reliable evidence that no more than about 30% of the audience is under 21, and outdoor signage, billboards and location-targeted mobile ads are heavily limited. No content may appeal to minors, and health claims are prohibited. Packaging must be child-resistant and carry state warning symbols.
Homegrow
Up to 6 plants (3 flowering)
Adults may grow up to six plants, with no more than three flowering, per person; residences are generally capped at twelve plants unless local rules allow more. Grows must be enclosed, locked and out of public view. Selling homegrown cannabis without a license is illegal.
Possession
1 oz (28 g)
Adults 21+ may purchase and possess up to one ounce (28 g) of cannabis; registered medical patients have higher limits. Public consumption is prohibited and can be fined. Possession on federal land within Colorado remains a federal offense.
Retail Sale
Licensed retail; delivery permitted
Retail sales run through Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) licensed stores, with separate medical and adult-use licenses. Licensed delivery is permitted where the local jurisdiction has opted in. Local governments may ban or cap licenses, so availability varies widely by city and county.
